Dental practices work very hard to earn revenue.

Revenue loss rarely begins when a claim is denied, a balance lands in A/R, or someone finally notices a write-off large enough to ruin an otherwise pleasant Tuesday.
 
By then, the problem has usually been hanging around for a while.
It may have started with incomplete patient information. Poor insurance verification. Weak documentation. Coding errors. Financial policies nobody follows. Workflows that made sense in 2014 and somehow survived. Or an owner who was told everything was “fine.”
 
A/R is often where the problem becomes visible. It is not necessarily where the problem began.
